Joyce is a mechanical engineer (P.Eng.) and project management professional (PMP), who is specialized in Management of Technology (MBA). She also has the internationally recognized Fellow Chartered Governance Professional (FCG) and Accredited Director (Acc. Dir.) designations from The
Chartered Governance Institute of Canada, and Associate Certified Coach (ACC) designation from International Coach Federation.
Joyce has over 22 years of experience in the automotive fuel cell industry, in progressive roles ranging from PEM fuel cell stack development to stack & system integration, fuel cell vehicle application, strategic marketing, corporate strategy development, business negotiations, legal agreement development and management, strategic partnerships & supply development, IP licensing, strategic sourcing and coaching. Joyce spent over 10 years at Ballard Power Systems to develop fuel cell stack, system compatible control logic for Daimler AG and Ford Motor Company's fuel cell vehicles. Her unique and diverse experience and background combined with her strategic and analytical strengths, allow Joyce to quickly identify relevant patterns and issues in any given scenario in order to offer the best solutions for her clients.
Joyce has strong communication, negotiation, facilitation, presentation and interpersonal skills developed through leading discussions and working collaboratively with Board Directors, senior executives, technical teams, commercial teams, universities, government, suppliers, and customers. Joyce also has proven ability to successfully lead and manage complex technical and strategic projects in cross-functional and multi-cultural global settings. Joyce is well respected and appreciated by numerous fuel cell component/technology suppliers and major automotive OEMs in the world.
Joyce also has over 8 years experience in serving on the Board. In 2019, Joyce was elected as the Board Chair and Chair of Strategic Advisory Committee for Small Business BC. Joyce is also the President of The Chartered Governance Institute of British Columbia.
Joyce has deep understanding of Chinese culture. With her fluent written and spoken Cantonese and Mandarin, Joyce will advance your business and enable partnerships in the emerging China market and bring diversity to your boardroom.

Darren has over 20 years of professional consulting experience in transfer pricing (international tax). He has advised many multi-national companies on how to set up and operate their businesses effectively within the transfer pricing rules that are set by the tax authorities. In addition, Darren has intellectual property (IP) planning and restructuring experience in the high-tech industry.
Darren has excellent business, project leadership, organization, research, budgeting, and financial analysis & modelling skills, developed through progressive roles beginning with basic research and financial analysis with increased involvement in project proposals, negotiation, planning, and management, report drafting and review, execution of project plan, and oversee engagement economics.
